HISTORY AND HOSTS

The Pine Bush House was built by the owner of a local lumberyard whose hobby was trains. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching trains at the turnstile a few blocks away (the turnstile is no longer there). For many years the house remained a single family dwelling until about 50 years ago, when it was converted into a Seniors Residence. In the past 25 years, it has also been a Veterans Community Care Home.

LISA AND ANTHONY DUSCIO

The Duscios (Lisa and Tony) have years of experience housing and serving guests. They have owned the home for 15 years and until late 2004, they assisted and cared for senior citizens and veterans. Lisa is a nutrition enthusiast and a Health Minister through Hallelujah Acres. Anthony has over 31 years of experience in the catering business. Anthony's cooking skills hark back to his days as a former deli and restaurant owner in East Fishkill, NY. Together Lisa and Tony are a well-seasoned pair ---- like salt & pepper!

The home has been totally renovated and updated to provide a combination of old world charm with modern comfort. Whether it's for a romantic getaway, housing for extended relatives visiting, or a business need, we invite the local residents of Pine Bush and the surrounding towns, as well as visitors from New York City or other areas, to enjoy the tranquil, enchanting ambiance of our home and the unique activities of the area.
