History and Hosts

  • Pine Bush House 1908
  • Pine Bush House 1911

The Pine Bush House was built by the owner of a local lumberyard whose hobby was trains. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching trains at the turnstile a few blocks away (the turnstile is no longer there). For many years the house remained a single family dwelling until about 50 years ago, when it was converted into a Seniors Residence. In the past 25 years, it has also been a Veterans Community Care Home.

Your Hosts: Mark and Barbara Grey

The Greys are southern transplants (from North Carolina) who experienced "love at first sight" with the Hudson Valley Region of New York. Mark is a Sales Executive, while Barbara has over fifteen years of experience in real estate.

While the Inn is not pet friendly, Mark & Barbara do have two small furbabies - Artie and Tinkerbell, rescues adopted from www.STFBR.org. They aren't allowed in the main part of the house, but you might see them hanging around the butler's pantry and laundry room area helping Barbara with a woof & a lick!

Pine Bush House has been totally renovated to provide a combination of old world charm with modern comfort. Whether it's for a romantic getaway, housing for extended relatives visiting, or a business need, we invite you to enjoy the tranquil, enchanting ambiance of our home and the unique activities of the area.
